Not everyone is ignoring the fate of Hongkong's Legco

Article Abstract:

Many countries around the world are concerned about China's pronouncement that it will dissolve Hong Kong's elected legislature when the colony reverts back to China on July 1, 1997. China intends to replace the legislative body, known as Legco, with a provisional one that will take orders directly from Beijing. Pro-democracy campaigners around the world are getting ready to decide on what action is best to ensure that Hong Kong citizens may continue to have civil rights and freedoms. Some US congressmen are even passing a bill that would bar members of the provisional legislature from entering US territory.
