In quest of happiness
Article Abstract:
Psychologists and others cannot provide a thorough and adequate definition of 'happiness'. A survey of Europeans and Japanese has revealed that Japanese executives place more emphasis on their jobs than they do on their leisure or love lives than do Europeans. Research indicates that Japanese are less happy than other nationalities, which seems to suggest that material success and well-being are not necessarily related to happiness. Research seems to indicate that the components of happiness are being useful; keeping busy; maintaining friendships, organization, self-control; and emphasizing the positive while downplaying the negative.

Psychological testing in manager assessment
Article Abstract:
Psychological testing is frequently used in the recruitment of employees, however, many corporations do not use the testing methods effectively because of the lack of qualified testers. Corporations need to hire professionals qualified to make assessments using tests in order for the tests to give truly useful results. Additionally, corporations need to work to establish testing environments that do not promote the tests as 'weapons' against employees.
