PHILIPPINES: SYSTRA AND MANILLA METRO

Article Abstract:

The Philippine Ministry of Transport and Communications has chosen Systra, the French engineering company to supervise studies and the construction of the light metro line in Manilla. Systra is also responsible for training Philippine agents to operate the system and to supervise the operating system for five years. Systra has created a subsidiary, Systra Philippines Inc, which employs 50 people. Systra has been chosen for a new three-year task concerning 5 kilometres of additional lines.

BOSNIA: A BRIDGE TO BE REBUILT

The European Commission's technical assistance unit has issued an invitation to tender for the renovation of the road and railroad bridge over the Save river in Bosnia-Herzegovina. THAILAND: COGIFER WINS TWO CONTRACTS

Article Abstract:

The French company Cogifer, has been awarded two contracts for a total value of FFr 790mn. The first contract, worth FFr 430mn, is to double the lines on the 44-kilometre section of three of Ban Phachi-Mapkaboa, and the second contract is for doubling the lines on the 43-kilometre section 4 of Ban Phachi-Lopburi. These two contracts were won through joint offers with Italthai.
