Pan Pacific Hotel's Mobile Office

Article Abstract:

The new PanPac Mobile Office has been launched jointly by the Pan Pacific Hotel Singapore, ST Mobile Data (STMD) and Hewlett-Packard Singapore in Singapore. There will be a 3-month trial for the PanPac Mobile Office service, between August 1998 and October 1998. The service can be signed up by Pan Pacific Hotel guests at the Business Centre in the hotel. The new service features the Wireless Mobile Office Palmtops, which consists of a colour HP620LX palmtop, an STMD WIN PCMCIA Wireless modem and STMD Wireless Office Software. Guests can utilise Microsoft Pocket Internet Explorer to get Internet information, by plugging and connecting the modem to the Mobitex Wireless Data network from STMD.
