My childhood
Article Abstract:
Sir Oswald Mosley, leader of the British Union of Fascists (BUF), had great power over his supporters, who regarded him as a hero. Families who followed him were prepared to make considerable sacrifices, even to the point of risking imprisonment. The BUF was frequently involved in violence, especially against Jews, and children of BUF members were encouraged to adopt anti-semitic views. In many cases, these children did not break away from their unusual upbringing until quite late in adult life.
