Parish appraisals-a spur to local action?: a review of the Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire experience 1990-1994

Article Abstract:

Parish appraisals, in relation to the Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire experience, are discussed. Appraisals are questionnaire surveys undertaken by and for the local community, and the two experiences were carried out because of concerns by many people in the parishes. Some appraisals provided clear recommendations and action points, but others were unclear. Most parish respondents felt the appraisal exercise was of real benefit to their parish, particularly in the Oxfordshire experience.
