In 1995, sales of pasta in the UK rose 5% to 159 million pounds sterling, representing a 7% rise in volume to 117,000 tonnes. Between 1991 and 1995, the market grew 53% in value and 48% in volume. The figures do not include canned pasta products or stuffed pasta when it is part of a ready-to-eat meal.
