Article Abstract:
Stephen Whittle is a UK architect who is the leader of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office's embassy building program that involves projects totaling UKPd50 mil. He makes sure that projects totaling UKPd2+ mil apiece have high quality designs and are completed in a timely fashion and within the budget. Among the new embassies Whittle has been involved in are those of Colombo, Sri Lanka; Kampala, Uganda; Rabat, Morocco; and Dohar, Qatar.

Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) chairman Liz Forgan is profiled. HLF has thus far put UKPd2 bil into various UK heritage matters. Forgan does not actually examine architectural efforts, but advice is accepted from architects as well as English Heritage.
