Cerberus-led group wins Bawag with bid valued at $4.2 billion

Bawag-P.S.K. of Austria is to be sold to Cerberus Capital Management L.P. of the United States for 3.2 billion Euros ($4.2 billion). OEGB President Rudolph Hundstorfer said that it is important that a strong Austrian identity be preserved at the bank.
