Primus invests in the Czech Republic
Article Abstract:
Primus (Belgium), industrial washing-machine manufacturer, wants to invest a total of 35 mil Kc in the construction of another production hall in Pribor, the Czech Republic, in 2000. The number of the employees of the firm's plant in Pribor will increase by 100 after the completion of the project compared to the current 300. The company has invested 85 mil Kc in the purchase and reconstruction of the production premises of the former firm Tatra Pribor (Pribor, Czech Republic), Tatra limousine manufacturer. Primus has invested a total of 250 mil Kc in the Czech Republic so far.

Otis invests in the Czech Republic
Article Abstract:
Otis International Holding (OIH) (Germany), lift and escalator manufacturer, will launch commercial escalators in Breclav, the Czech Republic, after 2000. The total investments in the project will amount to CEK 385 mil. About CEK 253 mil of the sum are intended for technology. A total of 156 new jobs will be set up within the project. About 95% of the new production are intended for exports. OIH is a part of the multinational group United Technologies.
