Prince Mcwayizeni
Article Abstract:
Prince Mcwayizeni Ka Dinizulu was the son of King Solomon, a Zulu leader, and his favourite wife. He supported the African National Congress (ANC), and opposed nationalism, despite his pride in being a Zulu. His political opponent was Mangosuthi Buthelezi, chief minister of KwaZulu and head of the Inkatha Freedom Party, a nationalist party for Zulus. KwaZulu became divided between supporters for the two parties and Inkatha was given precedence in government by the ruling ANC, to appease Inkatha.
