The best practice programme aims to encourage communication and teamwork, bringing an end to the adversarial approach. Lamont wants to see the methodology of companies streamlined and the programme incorporates a web site and helpline.

Royal Institute of British Architects spin doctor aims to 're-brand' the institute

A new media strategy is to be established by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) in an attempt to improve its public image and create a definite brand. Communications director Roula Konzotis is seeking to develop a closer working relationship between the institute and government by employing a permanent government lobbyist, while a prevention gag on staff will ensure only good media attention is focused on the work done by the RIBA.
