Queue

Article Abstract:

Queue is an interactive software that aids users in solving queueing problems. The software is menu driven with information displayed in windows, however, menu items cannot be selected by typing in respective numbers. Also, the window occupies 75% of the screen and the program has no print or documentation functions. Nevertheless, the program is useful in computing steady-state and waiting time probabilities for 9 types of queues and has the capacity to create graphs for transient behavior. The software runs on an IBM personal computer or compatible and costs $295 for a university site license.
