Quota fraud trio put up for sale

Article Abstract:

Three of the five Russian Atlantic 333 class factory freezer trawlers which were arrested for misreporting catches and quota fraud are being put up for sale as per the instructions of the registrar of the High Court of Christchurch, New Zealand. The fleet built by Karelrybflot was sub-chartered to Abel fisheries, which was found not guilty of the quota management system. Abel Fisheries was found guilty and wanted to sell the fleet but the court returned the fleet to Karelrybflot as it could not find any buyers.

Shipyard in talks to build: sleek new-class tuna superseiner

Article Abstract:

The negotiations for construction contract of a new tuna superseiner are in progress between Italy based Cantiere Navale Fratelli Giacalone S.P.A. and Captain Nick L. Marinkovic of New Zealand's Spirit Wing Ltd. The design for the ship, tentatively named 'Georgia Giulia', drawn up by Ship Project Engineering and Contracting is described. The equipments and supplies to be installed are also described.
