RFAC backs 'daring and innovative' V&A plan
Article Abstract:
The Royal Fine Art Commission (RFAC) has approved plans by Daniel Libeskind's Boilerhouse, for the V&A museum. The controversial scheme, which has been praised as daring and innovative, has still to resolve funding problems. Plans to approach the Heritage Lottery Fund were abandoned due to conflict with Boilerhouse's other application to back the British Galleries project. Also it is believed that the Millennium Commission does not regard the project as suitable.
