Registering disapproval

Article Abstract:

The ARB's old nemesis, Ian Salisbury, sent an official complaint about a lesser know organization called the Register of Architects Accredited in Building Conservation (AABC) to the Office of Fair Trading (OFT). The complaint is a relatively simple one and concerns the route to AABC registration, where critics argue that it is extremely difficult to become signed up.

British winners lose out in Poland as disqualified Italian picks up job

Article Abstract:

The elimination of two big British architect companies, Design Engine and Nissen Adams from building of the new theatre in Gdansk, and an Italian, disqualified in the initial rounds, been given a chance has shocked the participants. The negotiations, comments and issues related to the opportunity given to the Italian architect Renato Rizzi are described.

Do you feel under pressure?

Article Abstract:

A research claims that architects are more prone to stress than believed earlier. The reasons attributed to this stress include colleague relationships, degree of autonomy allowed, pay, hours of work and worry about what others think of them.
