Relationship marketing at the service encounter: the case of life insurance

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted concerning the customer service-orientation of UK's life insurance salespersons. The industry's implementation of marketing strategies was also evaluated according the competitive nature of the business. Marketing activities do not only reflect the effectiveness of the method itself but also indicate the ability of the techniques to retain clients. There is evidence, however, that marketing failures mainly stem from the lack of customer service-orientation.

Life insurance in Nigeria: an application of the theory of reasoned action to consumers' attitudes and purchase intention

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to examine customers' attitudes toward the purchase of life insurance in Nigeria. Trends show that negative experiences cause lack of confidence to buy. Results show that increased level of customer consciousness and lack of welfare benefits are encouraging growth factors for the country's life insurance market.
