Article Abstract:
Poldi (Kladno, Czech Republic), metallurgy company, is looking for a new owner in 1999 again. The hitherto owner Mr. Z. Zemek, who bought Poldi for 200 mil Kc in 1998, plans to sell all the complex for about 650 mil Kc. According to Mr. Zemek, the main reason for the sale is the firm's unprofitable production. Mossei International Holding (MIH) has shown an interest in Poldi. MIH plans to ensure financial sources through the US funds Golden Bridge Trust, Grade American Company and PAAM Company. MIH co-operates with Poldi's former owner Mr. V. Stehlik, who should become the firm's general director.

Article Abstract:
Expo Pilipino, the Philippine National Centennial Exposition 1998, will be the focal point of Philippine Centennial celebrations. The Expo, which will run until Jan 1999, is expected to attract around 8.5 million visitors. It will include a Colonial Plaza, where three centuries of Spanish rule are depicted, and the Global Plaza, where Friendship and Philippine pavilions represent a single world culture. The Philippine Pavilion exhibit will emphasize the unique features of the tourism, people and trade of the country's 16 regions.
