Russian energy grip splits EU
Article Abstract:
The European Union is divided over the formation of energy security policy. Last winter Russia discontinued natural gas supplies to Europe over a price dispute. Poland is threatening to block a negotiating policy unless the European Union take a hardline with Moscow.

Fears flow from central Asia gas shutoff: tactics against Iran cause anxiety in EU over pipeline project
Article Abstract:
Turkmenistan halted gas exports to Iran in December 2007, creating concerns within the European Union as to whether a pipeline project aimed at reducing European dependence on gas from Russia is still viable. The cutoff is a result of disputes over pricing.
