China's spate of initial public offerings is a bad deal for investors and the Chinese people alike. The Chinese government must adopt a new approach wherein state-owned enterprise (SOE) shares must be fully privatized, with improved market mechanisms and pre-determined valuations for the shares.

The distorting myths surrounding the Malaysian currency peg's history need to be examined under current conditions to make the outdated currency regime, more flexible. Malaysia could enjoy both currency flexibility and economic stability by maintaining a currency float.
