Shareholders nervous as Olivetti redoubles PC effort

Olivetti is planning to launch 26 new personal computers as part of a plan to boost business at its computer division. The division is to be spun-off in January 1996 to create Olivetti Personal Computers, and it is expected to go into the black in 1996. The move has affected share prices, which have now fallen by 20% over the last few months. Shareholders are expecting to be hit with a cash call.
