Should Asia be copied?

Some influential politicians, such as Jack Kemp, think the US could boost its economy by emulating the fiscal and tax policies of East Asia's high-growth nations. While the US economy would be improved by Asian-style savings rates, there is little evidence that Asian methods would work in the US.

China may lose its status as the only one in Asia with deployable nuclear weapons if these three countries have their way. The US can't verify the nuclear capability of each nation. All three have refused to sign the Nuclear Proliferation Treaty.
