Siemens swings to net loss on tax expense from VDO sale

Fiscal fourth-quarter net loss for German electronics firm Siemens AG totaled $108.3 mil, due primarily to a tax expense connected to the selling of its VDO automotive electronics business. Group profit, however, more than doubled, and sales rose 9.4%. New orders increased by 21%.
