Slaughter in Ciskei
Article Abstract:
The Sep 7, 1992, slaughter of African National Congress demonstrators in Ciskei should not have happened. Black policemen fired upon the unarmed demonstrators in the so-called homeland, which is actually a poverty-stricken rural ghetto. F.W. de Klerk is still supporting Ciskei's despotic leader.

Time to leave the sinking party
Article Abstract:
Only 25% of white South Africans support the National Party. Pres Frederik W. de Klerk's popularity is also waning, largely due to his inability to curtail violent crime and public perception that he lacks leadership.
