Macronix strengthens ties with Qimonda

Taiwanese firm Macronix International Co. and Germany's Qimonda AG announced that they are jointly developing advanced technology for flash-memory chips. They will focus on 40 nanometer or lower process technologies over a five-year period, and will share research and development expenses.
