Article Abstract:

China has more to offer young managers than Hong Kong. Competent managers who are capable of handling well-performing companies which serve as the main units of wealth creation must need to develop themselves in a more competitive environment. Hong Kong industries do not have the full-scale operating environment and have frustrated the progress of human capital management. In China, several multinationals are creating business systems for production, marketing, sales and services.

While Beijing spends, China's consumers hunker down

Article Abstract:

The Chinese government's increased infrastructure spending contrasts with Chinese consumers' lower-than-expected spending. While China's growing consumer culture and the low income level of most its citizens should have bolstered the demand for basic necessities, the reality is that consumer demand lags the supply of products and services. Consequently, many businesses are suffering from overcapacity and large inventories.
