TD's $25M to H&M/FCB, Media Co

Article Abstract:

Harrod and Mirlin/FCB has been awarded the advertising account and Media Co bagged the media buying account of TD Canada Trust, the new bank formed through the merger of Canada Trust (CT) and Toronto Dominio Bank in Feb 1, 2000. The contract with Harrod and Mirlin/FCB, which was also CT's agency prior to the merger, is worth about $20 million to $25 million. Media Co, which is a joint venture between Grey Canada and Media Buying Services Co, was also CT's agency before the merger.

Kraft awards media to Starcom

Article Abstract:

Kraft Foods Inc has named Starcom MediaVest Group as its agency for general market media planning and buying for its US and Canadian business, which has an estimated worth of $700 million. Starcom, with offices in Chicago, IL, New York, NY, and Toronto, Ontario, won the contract over three other agencies that include MindShare, FCB/TN Media and OMD. Meanwhile, Kraft's creative accounts have been consolidated to three agencies, namely JCB, Young and Rubicam and Ogilvy and Mather.

Kellogg awards $28.8M media biz

Article Abstract:

Kellogg Canada Inc has given its $28.8 million media agency of record business to Western Initiative Media. Western Initiative will administer media planning, buying and research for all of Kellogg's brands. Kellogg pres Philip Donne said he was impressed by Western Initiative's proprietary research capabilities and its global expertise. Western Initiative is a newly-established joint venture between Initiative Media and Western International Media.
