SUN MICRO, PWC ANNOUNCE LAUNCH OF AUTHORISED JAVA CENTRE

Sun Microsystems India Private Ltd and Pricewaterhouse Coopers Ltd (PWC) have launched an authorised Java centre at Calcutta. The centre will offer consultancy and solutions for network computing for the manufacturing sector. It will deliver enterprise solutions. PWC will use Java technology for development of Business to Business and Business to Customer solutions. (rk)

CENTRAL BANK OPENS FIRST ATM CENTRE IN TN

The first ATM centre of the Central Bank of India (CBI) was activated at its branch at Nugambakkam in Chennai. This ATM centre is CBI's first in Tamil Nadu and the seventh in the country. Of the 3100 branches of CBI, 386 branches have been computerised. The bank hopes to computerise 400 branches by the end of March 1999. (vsm) >AB
