Nick Terry, the chairman of BDP, envisages more architects following his route, of starting in the practice, leaving for a while and then coming back. He rejoined BDP in 1990 to head up one of three architecture teams prior to his election as chairman and also ran the BDP-Dixon Jones collaboration that built the Royal Opera House in London.

Article Abstract:

Better fire-detection monitoring systems and designing buildings to reduce fire disasters could go a long way in solving fire insurance problems. Architects have to bear in mind that better designing could save lives and enterprises.
