Images of the Ice Age
Article Abstract:
A study of two major painted and engraved Ice Age caves, Cosquer and Chauvet, in southeastern France reveals interesting facts about tribes of that period. The coastal Mediterranean cave of Cosquer has paintings of the great auk, a flightless sea bird and engravings of seals. The Chauvet cave on the other hand has paintings of woolly rhino, mammoth and reindeer. These images served as a symbol in different ways such as ritual killing by marking it with abstract representations of wounds or darts.

Proving it stacks up
Article Abstract:
There is currently only very limited institutional investment in the private rented property sector in the UK. Observers believe that the government should consider launching a new investment vehicle with tax transparency if this situation is to be improved. Furthermore, efforts must be made to improve the sector's image. There are indications that investment in the private rented property sector is beginning to rise, but some observers feel that this will be only a gradual process.
