The discrete time-cost tradeoff problem revisited

Article Abstract:

More research should be conducted on the discrete time-cost tradeoff problem, since discrete options have become common in practice and discretization simplifies the modeling of general time-cost relationships. A bicriteria optimization scheme can formally describe the discrete time-cost problem. Studies have shown that the problem can be solved effectively for series, parallel and series-parallel networks.

Transformation of multidepot multisalesmen problem to the standard travelling salesman problem

Article Abstract:

The traveling salesman problem (TSP) is applied in the case of multidepots where transport routes minimize total unloaded distance. The multidepot problem allows the salesman to return to the original depot or vice-versa. A transformation of the multidepot problem into a standard asymmetric TSP is developed by copying depots and introducing imaginary depots that allow variant algorithmic solutions.

Application of CCP-W-DPC to a Radar Detection Problem

Article Abstract:

Chance constrained programming (CCP) is a popular method of problem solving. This particular problem involves a time-invariant (TI) detectr having three TI linear systems. Unlu's tangled research in the CCP area is highlighted. In this radar detection problem, a solution can be found if noise components of returning signals are segregated. A graph of probability density trains is highlighted.
