My other car's a Bentley

Article Abstract:

Volkswagen has acquired the Bentley brand in a move that raises questions about the company's marketing policies. Volkswagen has used the Skoda brand to enter eastern European markets, but demand has not been as high as expected in eastern Europe. Skoda could be used as a budget brand in western Europe, but Skoda vehicles appear to be budget Volkswagen vehicles, and this could affect Volkswagen sales. Skoda could draw on its engineering roots from before 1939, but this would mean giving more freedom to Skoda designers.
