The impossible future of Kosovo
Article Abstract:
Kosovo is thought of by Serbia as its southern province, but Albanians comprise 90% of its population. They hope someday to annex Kosovo to Albania. Kosovo is constitutionally part of Serbia though, and the Albanians cannot stand up to Serbia's military might.

There are still hopes of a successful peace deal in Macedonia, but it could still be jeopardised by last-minute delays by the Slav politicians. NATO has finished collecting weapons from Albanian rebels, but has left 1,000 troops there.
