Article Abstract:
There are a range of tools available to managers for measuring and managing knowledge. These include Human Resource Accounting, Economic Value Added, Balanced Scorecard and Intellectual Capital. It is important to recognize that there is no universally best tool. Managers must therefore consider which tools are most appropriate for their company and the specific situations they must address. If tools are applied in the wrong circumstances, then unfortunate consequences may result.
