EU likely to slap duties on China, Vietnam shoes

Article Abstract:

The European Commission is to recommend tariffs on the shoe industries of China and Vietnam, saying the countries are receiving unfair subsidies. The Asian countries have been flooding the European Union market with inexpensive leather shoes. Trade tensions are brewing between Europe and China.

WTO urges caution on textile restraints

Article Abstract:

Soaring textile exports from China has caused the World Trade Organization to launch an investigation and urges the European Union and the United States not to introduce trade sanctions yet. However, both the European Union and the United States are taking steps in that direction.
