Transit with BITE

Article Abstract:

The London Underground allowed ad agency TDI to install a large graphic of a shark's mouth in ceramic tiles surrounding the entrance of a tunnel at Oxford Circus Station in 1996 to advertise a Discovery Channel program on the shark. It is unlikely that the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) would allow something similar in its transit system. TDI Canada has forged a five-year deal to sell ad space for the Toronto transit system, but its jazzy new transit products will have a tough time winning acceptance from the TTC and local politicians.
