Transmeta results for fourth quarter beat expectations

Transmeta Corp. posted higher-than-expected results for the 2000 fourth-quarter. The company posted a $26.2 million (28 million euros) net loss for the period. Transmeta is also forecasting a more than 50% rise in sales for the 2001 first-quarter.
