Most Americans support Pres George Bush's plans for military action in response to the terrorist attacks, but there is a growing anti-war voice. However, the effectiveness of the anti-war movement will be hampered by the widespread fear of more terrorist attacks.

People in the US have turned towards religion and patriotism following the Sep 2001 terrorist attacks, and there seems to be wide support for military action. However, this unity may not last in the long-term, especially if there are civilian casualties.
