Brown seeks closer U.K. business ties with China on trip

Gordon Brown, Britain's prime minister, is seeking better trade ties with China. Among the European Union nations, the UK is China's largest investor. But Britain's goods-trade deficit with the country in 2006 totaled 12 bil pounds sterling, and as of November 2007 had risen to 13.5 bil.
