Vendors putting a price on the environment

Article Abstract:

Vendors should take responsibility for making environmental assessments of their businesses prior to finding purchasers. Environmentally sensitive industries often have an environmental management policy which if supported by recognized standards, will give possible purchasers a good indication of the environmental duties and hazards within the company. A vendor with environmental data will save questioning from prospective purchasers and help interested parties determine if they wish to go ahead with their offer. It will also prewarn vendors of possible areas of difficulty.

The right environment for investment

Article Abstract:

Environmental liability assessment has started to become a key element of the standard procedures which are undertaken before a corporate acquisition is made. It is now widely recognised that some form of environmental due diligence is required for all types of investment. It plays a particularly important role in reassuring investors that no costly problems with environmental liability will arise after the completion of the deal.

Environmental due diligence grows up

Article Abstract:

This has led to the development of a new area of professional service, but this still lacks a specific approach or recognised structure. Environmental due diligence is still encountering difficulties, but is set to bring many benefits.
