Vidia (Prague, Czech Republic), biotechnology company, increases the value of monoclonal antibodies produced by Exbio (Prague, Czech Republic). The two firms closely co-operate. Vidia has its own research and development department and co-operates with the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and other academic facilities throughout the Czech Republic. Vidia generates a turnover of about CEK 20 mil/y, which makes it able to finance the construction of its own building. The firm hast about 20 employees.

US Steel Kosice (Kosice, Slovakia), metallurgy company, will commission new vacuum equipment in Jun 2002. The firm will start the installation of the equipment at a cost of USD 18 mil in 2001. During May-Jun 2001 it will invest more than SOK 74 mil in the modernization of the plant Radiatory. The investment will be intended for the reconstruction and modernization of welding lines and colouring equipment.
