Approximately 90 truckers from Australia and New Zealand, brought to the U.S. illegally to help cover a trucker shortage, may be deported because of their involvement in an illegal smuggling operation.

WTO orders end to tariffs created by U.S. on steel: EU threatens to retaliate if Bush doesn't drop levies; Japan also weighs action

Article Abstract:

The World Trade Organization ruled against US President George W. Bush's steel industry tariffs, stating that they must be dropped or the US will face similar retaliative measures from other trade partners, including Europe and Japan. The European Union reaffirmed its intention to place duties as high as 30% on specified US goods.

Clear Channel CEO Will Head Empire

San Antonio, Texas-based Clear Channel Communications Inc. has will appoint Lowry Mays as the chief executive officer of its radio empire following its $17.8 billion merger with Dallas, Texas-based AMFM Inc. Clear Channel will be the largest radio station company in the U.S. after the merger is completed.
