Non-fee-cutters fear the worst: survey could send fees tumbling
Article Abstract:
A survey of architect's fees may adversely affect high-quality architectural practices. The Association of Consultant Architects surveyed fees to be presented as 'historical data' to accompany the new Standard Agrement. The survey will emphasise middle-band fees and make it difficult to persuade clients to pay higher fees to top-of-the-market practices. The survey follows a campaign by the Instituteof British Architects against low fee tenders.
