Benefits flow to Sunoco from Eagle Point refinery
Article Abstract:
Sunoco, the Philadelphia company purchased the Eagle Point refinery from El Paso Corp. which add 150,000 barrels of daily capacity to the already 505,000 barrels of crude oil capacity, Sunoco has from the existing two other refineries. With three refineries in the Philadelphia region, Sunoco has tremendous responsibilities for the regionEs air-quality.

The start of 2004 witnessed two public company Metrological Instruments Inc. and Sunoco Inc. reach greater heights while Merck and Co. Inc. and US Airways Inc. are still struggling. Sunoco to close refinery, 3 blending plants

Sunoco Inc. announced yesterday that it intends to shut down its Yabucoa, Puerto Rico refinery, and three lubricant-blending factories, including one in Marcus Hook that employs 96 workers. About 400 employees will be laid off.
