Deal to make money off the moon to rely on creativity and flexibility
Article Abstract:
Arlington, VA-based LunaCorp and the Robotics Institute of the Carnegie Mellon University are expectant that they will be able to send by July 2002 the solar-powered Polaris moon buggy to the north pole of the moon. The mission is a component of LunaCorp's efforts to secure a commercial niche in the moon, where it seeks to utilize remotely-piloted robot technology on the moon as attractions for theme parks. LunaCorp, however, chose to modify its business plans, venturing into lunar-robotics-mission plans that combine scientific and entertainment applications as a result of changes in commercial and scientific interests.
