Enron evidence growing
Article Abstract:
The fallen energy trader, Enron Corporation was running scams to drive up the cost of power, years before the 2000-01 West Coast energy crisis, according to audio transcripts and documents disclosed by a public utility north of Seattle. The material, the County Public Utility District released the first evidence that Enron appears to be honing its fraudulent trading schemes well before rolling blackouts darkened California and drove up prices, helping Enron make atleast $1.6 billion.

PHLX plan gets federal approval
Article Abstract:
The Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX) has won the regulatory approval to change from member ownership to stock ownership. Swapping 100 shares of stock for each of the exchange's 504 seats, the PHLX effectively split ownership and trading rights and the exchange is issuing trading permits and charging monthly fees for them.
