Ethics changes vs. reality
Article Abstract:
Governor Bobby Jindal told his transition team in September that he is staking his governorship on passing tough ethic laws in a session early in 2008. Jindal wants a legislation that would prevent legislators or companies they own from holding contracts with state agencies, bar legislators from working as governmental consultants or lobbyists, require more information from lobbyists on their expenses and clients and enforce sanctions for breaking ethics laws.
