FastShip Inc. aims to build and operate a new generation of high-speed cargo ships between Philadelphia, PA, and Europe. The company will rely on its patented hull design to allow the vessels to move at double conventional speeds and arrive on within one hour of schedules. Roland K. Bullard 2d, former head of First Fidelity Bank's operations in the Philadelphia area, is FastShip's president. Along with Kathryn Riepe Chambers, the firm's logistics expert and executive vice president, Bullard will look for investors and come up with a strategic plan.
