First Union sheds 190 N.J. jobs

First Union Corp., which is selling part of its consumer banking operations, has announced that it will eliminate 190 jobs in New Jersey. First Union, which also may cuts jobs in the Philadelphia area and Delaware, made the cuts at its Pennington, NJ-based mortgage loans unit.
