Goldman Sachs & Co. announces plan to go public
Article Abstract:
Goldman Sachs and Co. has decided to dissolve the partnership of 129 members and sell an interest of 10% to 15% through an initial public offering. The investment bank's move to do away with the 129-year partnership and go public came after a week-end meeting of 190 partners. Goldman Sachs declined to disclose an offering price, but the offering would mean payments ranging from $50 million t0 $125 million to partners and key employees. Goldman Sachs's public offering is estimated to be worth between $20 billion and $30 billion and provide it with the currency to purchase other firms and strengthen certain weak areas.

Spinoff of radio arm set at CBS
Article Abstract:
CBS Corp., a large television and radio broadcasting company in the US, is slated to conduct a corporate reorganization which will spin off its dynamic radio operations with the aim of improving the stock value of the firm. The company will combine its outdoor advertising operations with the radio operations in the new firm named Infinity Broadcasting. Later, CBS will sell 20% of the firm via a public stock offering. The firm already has stations in the 20 leading markets to make it the biggest radio firm in the US.

Could new road keep the Barnes in Merion?
Article Abstract:
Barnes Foundation famous for its traffic problems, with the township restricting visitors to 1,200 per month in order to preserve the quiet along the current access road, Latches Lane. Further for this purpose Barnes proposed a plan to link the Barnes directly to City Avenue with 700-foot access road, allowing almost any number of tourists to visit the Barnes without disturbing neighbors.
